CEHI to host advanced GIS training for staff from ten state health departments

We’re excited to announce the ten state health departments selected to participate in the 2024-2025 Advanced GIS Training for Surveillance of Heart Disease, Stroke and Other Chronic Diseases Among Health Department Staff project! Staff from seven state health departments (Idaho, Iowa, Minnesota, Montana, Pennsylvania, Texas, and Utah) will kick-off the in-person component of their training together at the University of Illinois Chicago from December 3-5, 2024. Staff from the remaining three state health departments (Rhode Island, Washington, and Virginia) will participate in personalized GIS consulting, working with GIS analysts from CEHI and CDC on plans for their proposed mapping projects.
